London Ice Sculpting Festival 2013

RoyalDocks January 10, 2013 0

Ice sculpters of the world are set to descend on Canary Wharf in London Docklands this weekend, Friday 11th Jan to Sunday 13th Jan 2013. With over 20 events scheduled, ranging from live ice carving to evening laser shows and fire dancers, this winter festival should certainly find warmth with everybody.

For those budding chainsaw ice ‘engineers’, there are even master classes scheduled throughout the weekend so you can even try your hand at a masterpiece… and hopefully under expert guidance not turn your hand into the work of art!.

The real action kicks off on Friday at 11am, when teams double up from across the globe and begin battling it out. The winners will be crowned, ice kings and queens at 4pm on Saturday (singles) and Sunday at 4pm (doubles). The theme for this year’s ice sculpting competition is “The Wonders of the universe and Infinity”, so no doubt Buzz lightyear might even make an appearance… to infinity and Beyond Canary Wharf.
